Sensei Campos traveled to Las Vegas to instruct at Chuck Norris’ United
Fighting Arts Federation Convention in July of 2000.
Campos was one of several prominent instructors invited to teach including
Bob Wall, Frank Shamrock, and Neil Adams. Wall was in the Bruce Lee movie
"Enter the Dragon" and is the inventor of the Total Gym; Shamrock is
the World UFC champion; and Adams is an Olympic Silver Medalist in Judo from
England.
Campos taught his street self-defense system, "3-Second
Self-Defense" to over 200 brown & black belt UFAF members. After his
presentation he was told that because of the response to his program he would be
invited back to another convention to instruct again.
Several ZDK members were on hand to assist with the seminar including Bob
Gifford, Bill Hickl, and Wade Kirkpatrick from the Texas ZDK, Ron and Phyllis
Brown from the Northern N.Y. ZDK, and Ed Davenport from the Cobleskill, N.Y.
ZDK.
While in Las Vegas the group also had the opportunity to meet Aaron Norris
(Chuck Norris’ brother) producer of Walker, Texas Ranger and Richard Norton,
the action movie star from Australia.
