To Whom It May Concern:
It is my pleasure to write in support of Michael Campos and his
3-Second Self-Defense seminar. Mr. Campos and I have worked together extensively on the
development of martial arts and self-defense in my community. He was instrumental at the
inception of my business, and continues as a mentor and advisor for Colgate University and
Pinney's American Karate.
We first met in 1985 during a seminar that he was giving in Norwich,
NY. I was very impressed with that seminar and continue to use the information today. I
subsequently opened a karate school of my own, and naturally looked to him to instruct our
first seminar. The 3-Second Self-Defense seminar that he presented was an established and
proven program. The participants were made up of a large group of inexperienced
individuals and an equally large group of advanced rank martial artists. Mr. Campos'
conversational approach, simple yet effective techniques, and dynamic demonstrations,
pleased everyone attending.
My students and I have hosted and attended his 3-Second Self-Defense
seminar many times since then, and have always learned something new. I have attended many
seminars during my martial arts career and judge them according to useful information that
I acquire. If I can bring home a core of knowledge and techniques that can be used and
taught, then the time is well spent. Michael Campos' seminars meet this criteria and
always exceed my expectations.
The basis of the self-defense and karate systems taught in my local
area are a direct result of his influence and, in particular, the 3-Second Self-Defense
seminar. I highly recommend his seminar to anyone.
Sincerely,
Robert Pinney Sr.
